The Pie Hole Los Angeles, a Los Angeles-based pie and organic coffee specialty store, will open its first Japanese location in Lumine Shinjuku in October.
The Pie Hole Los Angeles is a popular cafe known for its original pies, crafted using a secret recipe passed down through five generations of founder Matthew Hefner's family. They also take a strong interest in their coffee, roasting the highest quality organic beans without the use of additives, pesticides, or other harmful substances, and serving a smooth, clean-tasting hand-dripped coffee. They have expanded to prominent locations such as Hollywood and Orange County, and are beloved by many Hollywood stars.
Prior to the opening, on June 30th, they previewed their signature pies at the "American Independence Day Party" hosted by U.S. Ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy. It was a huge success, with all 200 servings sold out before the party ended.
