Ferragamo presented its Autumn/Winter 2025 collection in Milan.

For Ferragamo Autumn/Winter 2025, Maximilian Davis explored inspiration from the world of dance, particularly the wardrobe and work of the German "Tanztheater" (dance theater) – their elegant yet airy feel in everyday dress, free-flowing choreography and unrestrained expression. Through Maximilian Davis' unique perspective, the collection projects a timeless harmony that echoes the German Expressionist dance of the 1920s, a particularly important period in the modern dance genre, and its revival in the 1980s.

Straight-cut silk slips are inlaid with dropped-waist lace appliqués and collaged with shearling strips, while uniform details of the era are referenced in practical leather garments and tailoring. Dreamlike prints appear, handbags are surrealistically stuffed with fur, and offstage wardrobes fluidly reconfigure familiar shapes with jersey knit.

This "incongruity" was the same spirit that inspired the Tanztheater revival of the 1970s and '80s.

Smooth satin trench coats clinging tightly to the body with belts, soft cashmere contrasted with lustrous leather, flattened feathers, and poppies erupting from ribbon-like stems. The collection explores the poetic duality of German theater performance: an emotional dialogue between love and longing, freedom and control, romance and passion.

The rich floral patterns featured in Ferragamo's 1980s campaigns and archival shoes are also reflected on the shoes. Rendered in organza, leather, and satin, the flowers are incorporated into almond-toe pumps and calf-wrapped sandal straps. Also featured is a new wedge-soled model with a futuristic shape, inspired by an innovative seamless shoe from founder Salvatore Ferragamo's archives.

For men, classic brogues and booties are reinterpreted with added zip twists and rich grained leather textures. In accessories, organza flowers bloom across evening bags. The iconic Hug bag gets a new animation with a belt wrapped around the body. The Hug is also available in winged pouches and one-shoulder versions for an autumn/winter feel.
