Wise x Tote release collaboration shoes with toes that look like tote bags

Jul 11, 2016

Y's will release a collaboration shoe with Tokuyama Shoes' original brand, "tote," as part of its 2016-17 Autumn/Winter collection on July 8th.

The "tote" shoe features a distinctive toe design with a gusseted fold resembling the corners of a tote bag, which is where the name comes from. The roomy design makes it feel like a slipper. The insole is made of microfiber to prevent slipping, and the outsole is made of Vibram, a material renowned for its slip-resistant performance.

This collaboration model is based on the "tote sneakers." Each part is made of a unified black material, and the uppers are available in two styles: flannel wool and leather. The flannel model (32,000 yen), made with raw flannel wool fabric, features a nuanced design that incorporates the texture of clothing into the shoe. On the other hand, the leather model (38,000 yen) adds a classic sharpness to the tote's original softness, with intricate designs. The suede leather on the heel and the silver eyelets and metal fittings on the shoelace tips add a touch of accent.
