For this Haute Couture collection, CHANEL's creative studio pays homage to the essence of Gabrielle Chanel's work through delicate yet bold combinations of color. The couturier revolutionized beauty through her masterful use of the color black. Possessing an exceptional sense of color, she incorporated not only black and white but also the full range of colors, from soft pastels to vibrant hues.

A runway featuring a double C, forming the symbol of infinity, in the center of the nave of the Grand Palais, expressed the boundless excellence of Chanel, the oldest haute couture house still in existence. The set design, by set designer Willo Perron, evoked the color wheel, which the Creation Studio reinterpreted for this collection. Composer Gustave Rudman wrote an original score for the show in collaboration with sound designer Michel Gaubert.

Starting with white, through pastels to vibrant hues, from midnight blue to black, the color palette of the looks in the collection follows the cycle of the day, from morning to night. From the light of dawn to the sparkle of the sky, the color story begins at dawn and heats up again after sunset. The collection includes a pyjama-style ensemble in dawn-hued silk crepe, a sunshine yellow tweed suit, a lilac tweed dress with box pleats, and a black and white tweed suit with painted and embroidered details. Other highlights include a purple jacquard dress, an orange-pink coat, and a mimosa dress suit with pale pink flounces. Strap shoes also follow the cycle of the day, with flats and heels available in a rich palette of sky blue, violet, white, and cream.

Tweed, pockets, braid, linings to match the blouse —— some even attached to the skirt for a beautiful drape —— and precious buttons. All the hallmarks of CHANEL Allure are sublimated here. From bronze, pink, green, yellow, royal blue and purple satin linings to braids with graphic, multicolored or floral embroidery, the playfulness is glimpsed in the impact of colors and exciting contrasts. Rock crystal, metal and rhinestone buttons are transformed into the moon, sun and camellia, the latter embellished with black velvet belts, symbolizing the Maison's dearness to the color black.

Dresses come in short, long and some combinations, and delicate, flowing fabrics create beautiful proportions. Embellished with embroidery, flounces and pleats, the airy pieces are the result of the refined techniques of haute couture. A sparkling, starry-coloured dress, a red embroidered chiffon dress, a pale yellow double satin pleated plastron shirt dress, a sky blue long puffer cape, a champagne tweed coat and a white sequined dress - it's like peeking into a fairytale world. Lightweight materials, delicate trompe l'oeil, painted lace and embroidered chiffon create the illusion of perfect tweed. Haute couture brings to life the imagination, as if watching a dream or a play.

This year marks the 110th anniversary of CHANEL Haute Couture, a statement of beauty, a testament to technical excellence, and an enduring inspiration for the creative studio. The Spring/Summer 2025 Haute Couture collection communicates the Maison's values and explores its codes with precision and creative freedom. Gabrielle Chanel once said, "Comfort has shape, love has color."
