Fire King pop-up shop opens at Opaque Ginza, featuring collaborations with Mastermind

Apr 10, 2013

From April 10th to 23rd, the heat-resistant glass brand Fire-King will open its first pop-up shop in "The Style," a pop-up space on the first floor of "Opaque Ginza" in Ginza, Tokyo.

The pop-up shop will feature a selection of nearly its full lineup, including first-time and limited-edition items, centered around the "Fire-King Heritage" series, which is based on the glass-making techniques of the time. Limited-edition collaboration mugs with fashion brands HYSTERIC GLAMOUR and mastermind JAPAN will also be on sale.

Fire-King was founded in 1937 by Anchor Hocking, a glass manufacturer in Ohio, USA. Production was temporarily discontinued in 1976, but was revived in 2011 by Japanese glass artisans. Fire-King Japan was founded. The brand actively collaborates with brands, most recently releasing a limited edition model with Y's.
