KENZO's pop-up shop, "SPRING SUMMER 2013 KENZO FEVER," opened on April 10th on the third floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku.
As the brand's Spring/Summer collection kicked off, many fans arrived before the store even opened on the first day. Customers flocked to the shop to see the latest collaboration items with popular brands NEW ERA and VANS, so much so that entry was restricted in the morning. The store remained crowded throughout the day, with customers continuing to stream in. The collaboration cap with NEW ERA was particularly popular, with the cap featuring the KENZO logo on the front selling out on the first day. Sweatshirts and T-shirts featuring this season's iconic tiger motif also sold well, and with some men's sizes available, a noticeable number of male customers visited the store.
This season's inspiration comes from the vibrant jungles of Asia, and the brand proposes an urban jungle style that follows the origins of KENZO, with colorful leopard prints and a digital forest that depicts a jungle forest in a graphic print.
In addition, the pop-up shop will run for three days from April 12th to 14th in conjunction with Fashion Nail Week, which is being held at Re-Style in Isetan Shinjuku, and will feature the KENZO Nail Bar, where you can experience KENZO leopard-motif nails (reservations required). The pop-up shop will run until the 16th.
