Designer Akinori Washio's men's brand "Stopover" and women's brand "Washiwo" have announced their 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collections.
Stopover's collection was inspired by men reading the British magazine "MONOCLE." The classic shirt, featuring large, ruffled buttons, features a sliver knit accent at the chest. Sliver knit is a fabric that is both lightweight and warm, knitted without twisting the fibers. A parka and quilted vest were also made from the same fabric. The outerwear was also cut short to emphasize lightness.
In addition, a chef's shirt with a tied collar, paired with a sweatshirt, offers a casual style. Indigo-dyed check shirts and other items are also available, completing the wide variety of shirts. Indigo is also used to dye corduroy pants.
Washiwo's focus is on dresses. She added feminine elements to everyday items, such as lace on dolman sleeve sweatshirts. She also proposed dresses that played with patterns, such as beige x leopard print and glen plaid. For the wedding style, she showed off a casual yet dynamic dress with five layers of tulle on a marine striped top, inspired by a garden style.
