Near.nippon has unveiled its 2013-2014 Autumn/Winter collection. The designer duo, Miyama Takuya and Ueshima Tomoko, created clothing themed "PLANET OF WOMAN" that blends seamlessly into the everyday lives of career women. Items embodying the theme include pieces in space-inspired prints and tweed, suits made from French and Italian fabrics incorporating neon greens and blues, and shirts and coats featuring bold gold and silver foil prints. A casual line has been added this time, catering to the casual style of their target customer, women in their late 20s to 40s. Items include sweatshirts with flocked lace, fleece with a tweed print, and jacquard leopard print shorts. The brand received requests from local clients for stylish clothing suitable for mothers.

Clothing is designed with seasonality in mind, with coats lined with nylon fabric used for windbreakers, making it suitable for winter if worn thickly. The large jackets are made in one piece, so they can also be worn for a long season by adding or removing layers of innerwear.
"Recently, the weather has been suddenly cold, so customers often ask me how long they can wear this for. They're looking for not only creative ideas, but also clothing that can adapt to drastic temperature changes, such as using autumn-colored prints on summer materials, or pairing non-winter materials with knitwear to make it suitable for mid-winter wear," says designer Miyama.

Other items included a dress featuring a variety of large and small houndstooth patterns, classic tight pants and shirts in a paisley pattern. Items incorporating the brand's traditional essence were also proposed, such as a cut-and-sew top with hand-knitted accessories.
