Jessica, the main vocalist of the female idol group Girls' Generation, was born in San Francisco, USA on April 18th, 1989.

She spent her childhood in the US, but moved to Korea after being scouted by an entertainment industry insider along with her younger sister Krystal. After seven and a half years of training, she made her debut in 2007.

She also has a side to her as a fashionista, and has said in an interview that "I'd like to work in the fashion business in the future."
