visvim concept store opens at Isetan Shinjuku for a limited time

Apr 11, 2013

The visvim concept shop, F.I.L. INDIGO CAMPING TRAILER, is being held at The Stage on the first floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku from April 10th to 16th.
F.I.L. INDIGO CAMPING TRAILER is visvim's first concept shop, opened in Omotesando GYRE in January 2013. It offers items that designer Hiroki Nakamura has incorporated into visvim's unique style, incorporating the various things he has seen around the world into his own unique style.
The iconic icon of F.I.L. INDIGO CAMPING TRAILER is the "camping trailer" that is also displayed at the Omotesando shop. For this event, a different camping trailer (made in 1945) from the one at the Omotesando shop has been imported from the United States. "Even in a large commercial facility like Isetan, we aimed to create a display that expresses the 'personal' side of Visvim," says Nakamura. The venue will be selling popular items like a jacket dyed with natural indigo, a vest made from old cloth from the Edo period, and a bandana shirt made from a vintage bandana, as well as new items like T-shirts, tote bags, and sneakers. Nakamura's desire for each encounter between a product and a person to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience means that most of the products have unique designs and textures. In particular, the original necklaces and bangles, crafted from materials selected from around the world, are all one-of-a-kind. The concept shop offers a unique worldview that Visvim cannot fully express. On the 14th, a craftsman who makes Visvim shoes will be invited to demonstrate the Goodyear weave method in-store.
