New Era's first pop-up shop in Japan opens to celebrate the 59th anniversary of the popular model

New York cap brand New Era will open its first pop-up shop in Japan on the first floor of Laforet Harajuku from April 26th to May 6th. The event commemorates the 59th anniversary of the brand's signature item, the 59FIFTY.
To coincide with the shop's opening, a special display will be set up inside Laforet Harajuku until May 9th. Approximately 70 types of caps and snaps of people styling them will be on display.
New Era is a cap manufacturer founded in Buffalo, New York, USA in 1920. Their signature model, the 59FIFTY, was introduced in 1954 and is the standard baseball cap worn by all MLB teams.
59FIFTY has collaborated with numerous fashion brands and is widely recognized worldwide as a street fashion icon. In addition to releasing collaborative models with KENZO every season, the brand also produced exclusive items with HYKE and NUMERO UNO in the 2013-14 Autumn/Winter season.
