GalaabenD, the brand created by Miki Okawahara, has unveiled its 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection. The theme, titled "CONTRAST," incorporates two-tone color schemes and the combination of different materials into the brand's signature classic style. A suit featuring bold color changes at the waist of the jacket and the yoke of the pants is a symbolic piece of the theme. A glen plaid suit with faux leather sleeves was also produced. The pants also feature thick side stripes, a cut-and-sew top with a different color at the neck, and a combination of stripes and borders emphasize contrast. In addition to contrast, the collection also makes extensive use of graphic elements. Large checkered windowpane print suits, shirts, and stoles are featured, as are stained-glass-patterned parkas and sarouel pants. A leather rider's jacket features an embossed crocodile print. The brand's classic styles, such as luxuriously embroidered Napoleon jackets, tuxedo cloth suits, and heeled boots, are still alive and well.
