
Matoi Publishing will launch a new fashion edition of the creative journal QUOTATION, the QUOTATION Fashion Issue (1,470 yen), on April 25th. The issue will focus on fashion shows both in Japan and overseas and the creations of the fashion designers who produce them. It aims to highlight the current state of fashion through a wealth of visuals and critical commentary. Toru Hachiga, editor-in-chief of QUOTATION, will also serve as editor-in-chief. The issue is planned to be a quarterly publication, published four times a year. It will feature the international women's and men's collections from Paris, Milan, New York, and London, as well as the spring/summer and fall/winter Tokyo Collections. This issue features the women's and men's collections from 2013-2014 Autumn/Winter in Paris, Milan, New York, and London, and includes interviews with Thom Browne, Simone Rocha, and others.
The target audience is people working in the fashion industry such as designers, MDs, buyers, stylists, and editors, as well as students and fashion enthusiasts. The format is about B5 size, designed to fit in a bag. The target sales volume is 20,000 copies domestically, with an additional 10,000 copies planned for overseas sales to Japanese people living abroad.
Quotation, launched in 2008, is a journal magazine that introduces creative information from around the world in areas such as fashion, graphics, art, photography, and architecture in each issue. It was redesigned in 2012 and became a regular publication.
