DRESS, Japan's first magazine for single women in their 40s (Editor-in-Chief: Yuki Yamamoto, Publisher: Gift Co., Ltd.), launches on April 1st. A launch event will be held in collaboration with Isetan Shinjuku from March 27th. The event will run until April 9th. Ten dresses worn by cover model Ryoko Yonekura in the magazine will be displayed in the store's first-floor window, and a large visual banner will be displayed on the wall of the main building. As a special feature, a separate volume, "DRESS x ISETAN BOOK," has been produced, showcasing the exclusive Isetan Shinjuku dress worn by Yonekura and introducing the charms of the newly remodeled Isetan Shinjuku store under the title "DRESS Members Walk Through the New Isetan." The launch slogan for DRESS is "'LOVE40': Your 30s are just practice. 40 is when a woman really shines!" Actress and model Ryoko Yonekura will appear on the cover. The editor-in-chief is Yuki Yamamoto, former editor-in-chief of Kobunsha's STORY and BiST magazines and the man behind the "beautiful witch boom." Furthermore, "DRESS" is not just a magazine; it's part of "Project DRESS," a project with the concept of "supporting women's lifestyles 100 years into the future." As the project's first initiative, it launched a "Women's Cabinet for Women," appointing nine women active in various fields, including Eriko Kitagawa and Keiko Kojima, as ministers to "achieve happy social change." They are also publishing new proposals in online columns. The magazine is published by gift Co., Ltd., a venture established by the Gentosha Group in September 2012. The new magazine, "DRESS," was launched as the venture's first project. Yuki Yamamoto serves as president and CEO. The company's executives include Gentosha President Toru Misumi, lyricist Yasushi Akimoto, Avex President Max Matsuura, and CyberAgent President Susumu Fujita, and the company aims to build a publishing business for a new era that goes beyond the traditional magazine realm.
