A limited-time shop for "matohu," a brand that has been featured at Tokyo Collection, will open at HINAYA KYOTO's Kiyomizu-Gojozaka branch from April 27th to May 6th. Following last November's opening, this limited-time shop marks the second time the brand has opened, and will feature an exhibition of works by photographer Miyahara Yumega in conjunction with KYOTOGRAPHIE, an international photography festival from Kyoto to the world. Miyahara's photographs are from the brand's 2011 fashion show held at the Marugame-Inokuma Genichiro Museum of Contemporary Art in Kagawa Prefecture, and were included in Matohu's book "Clothes of Words - History" (published in 2012). On the opening day, the 27th, an opening talk will be held featuring designers Hiroyuki Horihata and Makiko Sekiguchi, along with Miyahara. The event will be coordinated by Associate Professor Hiroshi Narumi of Kyoto University of Art and Design.
