LOEWE will release a collaborative collection with textile designer John Allen as part of its Spring/Summer 2015 collection in select stores from April 15th.
The collection focuses on John Allen's works "Fallen Leaves," "Cornish Harbour," and "Pink Houses of Cumbria," and features them as prints on tote bags, duffel bags, scarves, and large beach towels. These idyllic pieces, woven in vibrant hues of sand, pomegranate, blue, and pink, are featured on calfskin and exotic leather wallets, purses, espadrilles, and pouches.
To commemorate the launch, LOEWE will publish a book featuring photographs of Allen's home in Woodford, London, and an in-depth interview. A limited edition of 1,200 copies will be available at LOEWE boutiques.
Incidentally, Loewe Creative Director Jonathan Anderson also collaborates with John on his own signature brand.
While asserting Loewe as a culturally conscious contemporary maison, a new collection has been created that inherits various specialized techniques from the past, present and future through modern and sincere craftsmanship.
