Founded in 1851, BALLY is a Swiss luxury brand with a history steeped in innovation. Starting out as a ribbon manufacturer, the brand soon launched a shoemaking brand, captivating fans worldwide with its distinctively Swiss modern design. BALLY has continually updated itself to keep up with the times, and in 2014, it appointed Pablo Coppola as design director, completely revamping the image of its accessories and ready-to-wear collections. For the 2014-15 Autumn/Winter collection, Pablo's new direction led to the unveiling of iconic bags that represent the new face of BALLY, including SOMMET, BLOOM, KISSEN, and BOND. These stylish bags, perfect for any occasion, from business to shopping, quickly became a hit. The SOMMET tote bag, crafted from bull-grain leather with its distinctive, even grain, is sure to become a beloved BALLY icon for years to come. The bags also feature a small logo, evoking the pride of a long-established brand known for its high quality and design. A special Bally bag section will be set up at Kotokoto Stage 11 on the first floor of the Hankyu Umeda Main Store from May 6th to 12th. While Bally shoes are available in a corner on the third floor of the store, this will be the first time the bags will be on display. The bags will primarily feature five styles from the SS15 collection: Some, Bloom, Barissime, Kissen, and Bond. Color variations include striking dark cherry, off-white, dusty pink, and jaguar green, as well as basic black and brown. Some's dusty pink and dark cherry, and Bloom's coral (orange) and nude beige, which symbolize the blossoming of flowers, are noteworthy bags that fit perfectly with the flowering season. Five limited-edition bags will also be available at the Hankyu Umeda Main Store. The python blooms are a must-see, as they will be making their first appearance in Japan.
The event at Hankyu Umeda Main Store will be based on the key colours of dark cherry, dusty pink and off-white, and the front flower wall, designed by internationally renowned flower artist Niwa Hideyuki, will be decorated with fresh roses in keeping with the key colours, welcoming visitors. Why not try dressing up in Barry colours for Spring/Summer 2015?
