Following on from its Spring/Summer 2014 collaboration, Y's has released "BIRKENSTOCK for Y's" sandals in collaboration with BIRKENSTOCK for the Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Two models are available, priced at ¥34,000 each and available at all Y's stores. The two new styles combine Birkenstock's functional insole, the "footbed," with an upper originally designed by Y's. The "ring thong model" securely holds the foot with a thick strap. The other, the "belted model," has a cool, connected strap design. Both models feature a 2.5cm platform sole and a black "footbed." The uppers are available in two colors, with the white creating a striking contrast with the black sole. The black matches the sole, creating a minimalist look. Just like the 2014SS collaboration model, the rear side of the footbed has the "BIRKENSTOCK for Y's" logo. Simple, functional and with attention to detail, it's typical of Y's.
