On February 6th, Y's released the "Y's Super Position" sneakers (priced at 23,500 yen), a collaboration with adidas. The name is the former name of the current Yohji Yamamoto Aoyama flagship store.
These shoes were born from a partnership between designer Yohji Yamamoto and adidas through their label, Y-3. Yohji Yamamoto's sensibility is incorporated into the adidas Originals Superstar.
The three stripes on the "Y's Super Position" are expressed with hand-stitched stitching. The stitching hangs down rather than being tucked into the upper, creating a new accent not found on the Superstar. Furthermore, the rubber shell toe cap, shaped like a seashell, has been replaced with smooth leather, the eyelets are made of suede, and the lining is made of soft leather, creating a bold customization.
In addition, the brand name on the tongue and the "Y's Super Position" logo next to the heel change according to the color variations of the shoes. The white model is gold, inheriting the color of the Superstar, while the black model is left undyed and simply has the engraving smartly applied. The heel tab is also gray on the white model and white on the black model.
In addition to Y's directly managed stores, the shoes will be sold at Styles Daikanyama, Undefeated's Tokyo and Shizuoka stores, and V.A.
