To celebrate the release of the Disney film "Cinderella" (released April 25th), Isetan Mitsukoshi will be holding an event introducing the film at 10 stores nationwide, primarily at the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, Ginza Mitsukoshi, and Isetan Shinjuku. The event will feature a magical pumpkin carriage set recreating scenes from the film, as well as displays of glass slippers, costumes, and visual panels used during filming. Isetan Mitsukoshi original items will also be on sale. At Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, a "Disney Cinderella Exhibition" will be held in the central hall on the first floor of the main building, featuring a 3.5m high, 6m wide, golden magical carriage set. Visitors can experience the feeling of Cinderella heading to the ball. There will also be a commemorative photo spot where visitors can meet the prince by going up the stairs. On the 22nd, the first day of the exhibition, an opening ceremony to celebrate the film's release was held at the store, with model Mori Hikari emerging from the "magic carriage" to promote the appeal of the film. At Ginza Mitsukoshi, the store will be holding an exclusive exhibit at its 9th floor Ginza Terrace, featuring the glass slippers actually used in the filming of the movie, the dress worn by Cinderella after her transformation, and the costumes and stage sets worn by the prince and stepmother at the ball. Also, in the Ginza Terrace Room on the same floor, a "Little Princess Photo Session" will be held, where visitors can dress up as Cinderella or Elsa from "Frozen" for photos (fee required; children between 80cm and 120cm in costume; applications are determined by lottery on the Ginza Mitsukoshi website). At Isetan Shinjuku, under the title "Isetan Cinderella Story," over 100 original items, including Cinderella-inspired dresses, accessories, bags, shoes, and miscellaneous goods, will be on sale on each floor. On the first floor of the main building, The Stage #1, nine world-renowned designers, including Salvatore Ferragamo, Jimmy Choo, and Charlotte Olympia, will exhibit original shoes inspired by the glass slippers, with some brands accepting orders. Seven styles will also be available from Mitsukoshi Isetan's original shoe brand, Number Twenty One, and orders will also be accepted for pumps (100,000 yen) with Swarovski crystals scattered throughout the upper. Additionally, replicas of the glass slippers will be on display and Disney Princess items will be on sale at Sapporo Mitsukoshi, Sendai Mitsukoshi, Niigata Isetan, Shizuoka Isetan, Isetan Urban Market Lucua (Osaka), Hiroshima Mitsukoshi, and Fukuoka Mitsukoshi.
