Bugaboo launches new stroller featuring Van Gogh's famous paintings

Apr 20, 2015

Dutch stroller brand Bugaboo has announced the Bugaboo Bee3 + Van Gogh stroller collection, a collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum. Bugaboo's iconic stroller features the motif of "Blossoming Almond Branches" by fellow Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh. Van Gogh was inspired by ukiyo-e prints of "Blossoming Almond Branches." The motif, along with the contours, composition, and complementary colors, are evident. The Bugaboo Bee3 + Van Gogh's sun canopy and foot muff feature an almond branch print, while the stroller body and seat fabric are in green and blue tones that harmonize with the branch print. The Bugaboo Bee3 Complete Van Gogh, which includes the chassis, seat, and sun canopy, is priced at 97,900 yen. Individual parts are also available for purchase.

Van Gogh's vibrant style has also influenced high fashion, with Christian Louboutin and Viktor & Rolf recently releasing pieces inspired by his work.

In addition, a Bugaboo pop-up shop will be open on the 6th floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku from April 29th to May 1st. In addition to the Bugaboo Bee3 Van Gogh, four types of strollers will be featured. Incidentally, the rental strollers in Isetan are also Bugaboo.
