On January 28th, VIKTOR&ROLF presented their Spring/Summer 2015 Haute Couture collection at the Palais de Tokyo, showcasing pastoral and surreal pieces. Quoting Vincent van Gogh, "I put my heart and soul into my work, losing myself in the process," the designers revealed they were inspired by the powerful energy of Van Gogh's landscape paintings. A remix of the theme song from the film "Rosemary's Baby," featuring a woman humming, left an eerie impression, played as a model appeared wearing a straw hat, sandals, and a batik dress. The fabric, a collaboration with Dutch company VLISCO, was printed on both sides, allowing the floral pattern to be cut out and fashioned into corsages.

At the beginning of the show, only the outlines of the motifs were shown, but gradually the colors increased, the volume of the dresses increased, batik or wheat corsages were added, and the straw hats became extremely large.

Three pieces from the collection have already been purchased by contemporary art collector Han Nefkens. This is part of "the Han Nefkens Fashion on the Edge project," in which purchases and commissioned pieces are donated to Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen or placed on long-term loan, and the pieces will eventually be donated to the museum.
