Prada has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2024 women's and men's advertising campaign, "NOW THAT WE'RE HERE."

This season's advertising campaign explores the notion of dialogue, the exchange of ideas, a fundamental tenet at the heart of the brand's creativity. This candid human interaction, central to Prada's identity, is the foundation of Prada's fashion expression and the root of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons' creative partnership. Every Prada collection is a dialogue, an exchange of opinions and perspectives—both in the designs themselves and the intimate connection they create with those who wear them.

Fashion is communication. This ideology extends to the concept behind Prada's visual imagery, which reflects the reality of "here and now." Featuring a cast of world-renowned actors, Willy Vanderperre's camera captures fleeting, unrehearsed interactions. Harris Dickinson, Damson Idris, Mar Ely, Hunter Schafer, and Letitia Wright converse in person and over the phone, creating images of their interactions that simultaneously evoke different time periods, the fictional qualities of narrative film, and the authenticity of documentary. The script they read is by Miranda July, an American filmmaker, artist, and writer who constantly explores the idea of dialogue and the connections that language forges.

The campaign also extends into the real world, encouraging conversations to be done rather than just seen. A set of conversation cards by Miranda July suggests topics for discussion between friends. July herself appears as the unseen protagonist in the campaign's short film, directed by Oscar-nominated documentary director Garrett Bradley. We hear her voice on the other end of the phone, reciting fragments of an imaginary story. In both the image and the film, these conversations are faintly audible. We see it, we hear it disjointedly at times, but we can only imagine the full extent.

The campaign imagery is casual, direct, simple and real. It reflects human gestures and impulses: our need to connect, speak, listen and learn. Speaking is a collective activity. Here, the singular becomes plural as individuals come together, connected through exchange and harmony. Connecting, communicating and speaking leads to creativity.
