J.S. PANCAKE CAFE, a pancake shop recommended by JOURNAL STANDARD, will be holding an Okinawa-themed summer fair called "MASAN OKINAWA" at all branches from July 3rd to August 31st. The fair features a menu inspired by "MASAN," which means "delicious" in the Okinawan dialect. The fair will feature two types of pancakes and four types of shaved ice, each featuring Okinawan ingredients and local sweets. Pancakes include the "Kurzata Pancake" (1,280 yen), made with Okinawan brown sugar (Kurzata), a rich and creamy coconut cream topped with Okinawan salt gelato and pineapple. The "Venium Pancake" (1,380 yen) features Okinawan red sweet potato "Chura Benikoi," known for its vibrant purple color and aroma, mixed into the batter and fresh cream, and drizzled with brown syrup (sweet honey) and served separately. The shaved ice menu includes the "Okinawa Zenzai Shaved Ice" (800 yen), a take on the classic Okinawan summer treat of shaved ice topped with sweetly simmered kidney beans. The menu also includes the "Pitaya and Strawberry Shaved Ice" accented with shekwasha gelato, and the "Mango Shaved Ice" adorned with mango pulp and sorbet. Starting August 1, a limited-edition "Tangerine Shaved Ice" (900 yen) will be available, made with Okinawa's popular cafe, Kissa Chicken's homemade syrup and Okinawan-grown tangerines. Furthermore, during the campaign period, eight couples who spend over 4,000 yen will be entered into a lottery to win a pair's stay in Okinawa (2 nights, 3 days). Additionally, all applicants will receive a free drink voucher for their next visit as a participation prize.
