This year marks the 30th anniversary of Terayama Shuji's death, and many events dedicated to him are being held. Special exhibitions are being held at the Terayama Shuji Memorial Museum in Misawa, Cine Quinto, the Setagaya Art Museum, and the Watari Museum of Contemporary Art, among others, and many of Terayama's plays are being performed in the theater world.
The "Terayama Shuji Fantasy Library: Throw Away Your Books, Get Out into the Streets!" exhibition will be held at EYE OF GYRE, an art space within GYRE in Omotesando, Tokyo, from August 8th to August 31st. Admission is free.
