Photographer Mika Ninagawa's second collection of female portraits, "NINAGAWA WOMAN 2," and its male counterpart, "NINAGWA MEN 1," were simultaneously published on January 30th.

Under the theme "I think cool girls and boys are national treasures!", the book features 100 men and 100 women who Ninagawa has photographed in a wide range of fields, including actresses, actors, idols, and international stars.

"NINAGAWA WOMAN 2" features designer Anna Sui, Ellie from the art collective Chim↑Pom, models Miranda Kerr and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, idol groups Momoiro Clover Z and Dempagumi.inc, and Ai Tominaga. "NINAGAWA MAN 1" will feature "mastermind" designer Masaaki Homma, horror manga artist Kazuo Umezu, artist Takashi Murakami, and even Shiroto Jiro, the father dog from SoftBank commercials. The "NINAGAWA MEN and WOMEN" exhibition will be held at the Hankyu Umeda Gallery from January 30th to February 11th, with a talk show featuring Mika Ninagawa on February 2nd. Mika Ninagawa is a photographer who has won numerous awards, including the Kimura Ihei Photography Award. Her 2008 solo exhibition, "Mika Ninagawa," toured art museums across Japan, attracting a total of 180,000 visitors. In 2010, she published a photo book through Rizzoli, a New York-based art publisher, which garnered worldwide attention. She also made her film directorial debut in 2007 with "Sakuran," and last year's "Helter Skelter" recorded box office revenue of 2.1 billion yen.
