GANRYU unveiled its 2014 Spring/Summer collection on July 30th. Designer Fumito Ganryu, the theme was "Surf the Balance." The collection debuted a variety of tie pants with a wide waist and a wrap-around front. Lengths ranged from above the knee to three-quarter length. They were made from suit fabric and synthetic fibers. The brand's classic sarouel pants were also featured. The collection showcased pieces that combined contrasting elements, including a military-style Spencer jacket, a blouson with a tailored front and a polyester back that mixed sporty details, and shirts made with mixed materials like gingham and synthetic fibers. A-line silhouettes were the norm. The shirt hem peeked out from under the outer layer to emphasize the layering. The cut-and-sew items featured leopard and sharkskin prints. Pieces incorporating both were also shown. For accessories, the brand carried shopping bags and paper bag-like bags. In addition to sneakers with a stepped heel, the collaboration with George Cox, which began last season, also features a woven rubber sole upper.
