Osaka cafe Bib Bar will be offering a limited-time collaboration menu from July 16th to August 31st, 2020, to celebrate the publication of picture book author Tomonori Taniguchi's new book, "The Chameleon's Kakigoriya." The colorful shaved ice depicted in the book will be recreated in Bib Bar's popular summer dessert, "Fluffy Shaved Ice." This shaved ice fair will delight both body and mind with its vibrant colors and fruity flavors that will help you recover from the summer heat.

We're collaborating with author Taniguchi Tomonori's new picture book, "The Chameleon's Shaved Ice Shop," which will be released on Thursday, July 16th! The colorful "shaved ice" served by the book's protagonist, the traveling chameleon of the shaved ice shop, will step out of the world of the book and appear in Bib Bar's popular summer dessert series, "Fluffy Shaved Ice."



While recreating the "shaved ice" that appears in this work by internationally renowned picture book author Taniguchi Tomonori, we've arranged it into a parfait-style shaved ice that is characteristic of Bib Bar, with plenty of fruit and fluffy, creamy espuma sauce. Taniguchi Tomonori
Born in Osaka in 1978. After seeing the Bologna Children's Book Fair at the age of 20, he began making picture books on his own. After making her debut as a picture book author with "The Monkey and the Moon," she has since published numerous picture books not only in Japan but also in France and Italy, including "CACHE CACHE" from the French publisher Le petit lezard. Her major works include "100 Santa Clauses," "The Monkey and the Banana Amusement Park," "Big Santa and Little Santa," "The Witch Lemanio" (Bunkeido), "The Turtle and the Apple Pie," and "Waniffle, the Crocodile's Waffle Cake Shop" (Alice-kan).
