Event Date:2025.07.15-09.17
Jun 24, 2025
The "Visionary Journey" exhibition, which brought together Louis Vuitton's collection and other works after its acclaimed Bangkok, Thailand exhibition, will return to the Nakanoshima Museum of Art in Osaka, Nakanoshima, from July 15, 2025.

The Osaka exhibition will present the history of Louis Vuitton as interpreted from a new perspective through the lens of Japan. Brought to life by OMA's Shohei Shigematsu's impressive direction in collaboration with art historian and curator Florence Muller, the space weaves a magnificent story through over 1,000 precious historical items, documents, and archives carefully selected from the Maison's collection, as well as masterpieces exhibited with special cooperation from world-renowned international art institutions such as the Kosetsu Museum of Art in Kobe, the Guimet Museum of Asian Art in Paris, and the Musée du quai Branly.

This exhibition celebrates the Maison's deep ties to those who have had a significant influence on its history, while also highlighting its important values of craftsmanship, savoir-faire, the transmission of wisdom, and its unwavering commitment to innovation and creativity. The exhibition also features the first sample of Monogram canvas, which has been carefully preserved in the Paris City Archives since the 19th century and was recently miraculously rediscovered in beautiful, intact condition. It also features a space where visitors can actually see part of the manufacturing process, rare objects, and precious trunks and dresses associated with global celebrities such as Danjuro Ichikawa XIII, Suzu Hirose, and Sho Hirano, who serve as Maison ambassadors, as well as graphic artist VERDY. Visitors can get a glimpse into the stories of each of the items' owners.
