Recipe website Cookpad will open a pop-up store at the cafe Ease on the first floor of Marunouchi Building, offering a special lunch menu for two weeks starting on the 22nd. This is Cookpad's first pop-up store.
The event is part of the "Food Education Marunouchi" project, which supports Japan's vitality through food, and has the theme of "Food education for adults that makes cooking fun." Four star chefs with restaurants in the Marunouchi area will prepare original menus that add professional twists to home-cooked meals created by popular Cookpad users. From the 22nd to the 28th, the menu will include "Lotus Root Salad Hamburger" by Takeshi Kamoda, head chef of Sens&Saveurs; "Salted Pork and Summer Vegetable Stamina Bowl" by Tomoyuki Wakiya, owner and chef of Wakiya Emicharo; and from the 29th to September 4th, "Tomato and Ricotta Linguine" by Stefano Dal Moro, head chef of ANTICA OSTERIA DEL PONTE; and "Soy Sauce Koji Chicken and Vegetable Tempura" by Ryuji Sasaoka, owner of Ebisu Sasaoka. All four menus include a welcome soup, dessert, and drink produced by this year's Miss Universe Japan, Momo Hosokawa, and cost ¥1,000. During the period, POPs introducing the key features of the menu will be available at each table, and details of the newly developed menus will be posted on Cookpad's special page. Lunchtime is from 11:30am to 2pm and will end once the limited number of seats is reached each day.
