H&M has announced that it will open two new stores this fall, in Hamamatsu and Kagoshima. Stores have already been announced for Hiroshima, Niigata, Chiba, and Utsunomiya, bringing the total number of stores planned for this fall to 35. H&M's first store in the prefecture, H&M AEON Mall Kagoshima, will be located on one floor of AEON Mall Kagoshima, covering approximately 1,900 square meters. It will carry women's, men's, children's, and accessories. H&M HAMAMATSU is the second store in the prefecture, following the Mark Is Shizuoka store that opened in April of this year. It will be located on one floor of approximately 800 square meters within the UP-ON Annex of Entetsu Department Store in Hamamatsu. It will carry women's, men's, and children's items.

The brand is also set to launch its high-priced line, "Autumn Collection 2013," the menswear collection "Mauritz Archive," and "ISABEL MARANT POUR H&M," a collaboration with Isabel Marant, in the fall.
