Fauchon to release two limited edition teas in September: sweet eclairs and Parisian floral and fruit scents

Aug 9, 2013

FAUCHON will release limited quantities of its new flavored teas, "Éclair au Chocolat" (80g/2,625 yen) and "Un Jardin à Paris" (70g/2,625 yen), at Takashimaya and other FAUCHON boutiques nationwide from September 11th. Éclair au Chocolat is based on the concept of "a chocolate eclair you can enjoy without worrying about the scale." The aroma is gourmand (food-inspired). Based on semi-fermented oolong tea, the tea leaves contain cacao nibs, cacao pods, and vanilla, and are accented with dried marigold petals. Un Jardin à Paris evokes the feeling of "walking through a Parisian garden surrounded by flowers." Based on green tea, popular in Europe for its antioxidant properties, it is blended with dried roses and dried pineapple, and features the scents of peach, apricot, and honey. FAUCHON's flavored teas are produced under strict control at a factory in Strasbourg, east of Paris. The lineup includes approximately 60 varieties, ranging from Parisian-inspired scents to fruity, floral, and gourmand flavors, suitable for tea connoisseurs and beginners alike. In Japan, apple tea has proven particularly popular.
