Mar 27, 2013

To commemorate the reopening of the Kabukiza Theatre in Ginza, Tokyo, FAUCHON has released the Éclair Kabuki (525 yen). The surface features a black, persimmon, and light green design based on the Kabukiza Theatre's official curtain, and the choux pastry is filled with yuzu and matcha cream.

It will be sold exclusively at the FAUCHON Mobile Boutique, which is open for a limited time until April 7th in Kobikicho Square on the second basement floor of the Kabukiza Tower. On the 25th, the second day of release, it reportedly sold out in just one hour.

The Kabukiza Theatre, which has been undergoing renovation since 2010, will reopen on April 2nd, incorporating the Kabukiza Tower office building, designed by architect Kengo Kuma. In addition to the theatre, commercial stores such as Shiseido are also planned to be located there.
