I came, I saw, I won. Three new perfumes with the scent of Caesar are now on sale

Aug 12, 2013

Double H will release three new perfumes from French fragrance brand Histoires de Parfums on September 26th: "Edition Rare - Veni (I came), Vidi (I saw), and Vici (I won)" (60ml each, 16,800 yen). The names of the perfumes are inspired by the victory declarations of Julius Caesar, who led the Roman army. "Veni," inspired by the land that still retains many mysteries, has spicy aromatic notes with lavender, cinnamon, and cardamom. "Vidi," representing the wind blowing across the sky, is a spicy ozone scent blended with saffron, rose, and cucumber. "Vici," inspired by the flames that symbolize passion and power, has herbal woody notes woven with angelica root, patchouli, and raspberry. All three fragrances come in gold-plated bottles and packaging resembling gold bars.

Histoire de Parfum was founded in 2000 by Gerald Ghislain, who grew up in Morocco and ran a successful Spanish restaurant in Paris. The company has released 17 perfumes, each inspired by historical and cultural figures such as Giacomo Casanova, the Marquis de Sade, and George Sand, as well as the year Woodstock was held in 1969. The packaging is designed to resemble a book. It is available at Printemps and Le Bon Marché in Paris, Takashimaya in New York, and other stores, and arrived in Japan in 2011.
