Fornasetti releases two new artistic room sprays

Aug 8, 2013

Double H will release two new room sprays for its home fragrance brand, FORNASETTI PROFUMI, "Flora" and "Architettura" (100ml each, 21,000 yen), at the end of September.

Flora features white floral notes inspired by the flowers blooming in the Fornasetti family garden. The scent of lily of the valley and white rose is followed by iris, orange blossom, and jasmine, and is enveloped by tuberose and sandalwood. The illustration is inspired by opera singer Lina Cavalieri, Piero Fornasetti's lifelong muse.

Architecture is the scent of the brand's signature fragrance, "OTTO." It begins with thyme and lavender, and has heart notes of orris and cedarwood. The optical illusion roof illustration was inspired by the architect Andrea Palladio.
Piero Fornasetti was an artist born in Milan in 1913. He worked extensively in painting, sculpture, interior design, and book design, producing over 11,000 pieces. His signature work is the "Tema e Variazioni" (Theme and Variations) series, which uses Cavalieri as a motif. His son, Barnaba, produced and commercialized his father's legacy. In addition to furniture, tableware, and ties, the lineup includes scented candles made with wax from the long-established French manufacturer CIR and incense produced by Nippon Kodo. Headquartered in Milan, his brand is stocked at 10 Corso Como, Leclaireur in France, and Selfridges in the UK.
