Max Mara presents its Resort 2021 collection in Milan, Italy

Jul 9, 2020
Max Mara presented its 2021 Resort Collection in Milan, Italy on July 6th (local time).

The collection is inspired by St. Petersburg, Russia, and is based on the theme of "reason and romance."

Drawing inspiration from St. Petersburg, the city that gave birth to Pushkin, Tolstoy, and Tchaikovsky, and drawing on the numerous costumes worn by royals and aristocrats from the State Hermitage Museum's collection, Max Mara unleashes its disciplined design and lyrical romantic side.

Pieces like a handkerchief-hem skirt paired with a modernist double-faced tunic, or a sheer, dropped-waist dress contrasted with a milky white teddy bear coat, provide romantic elements that complement Max Mara's highly rational tailoring.

The contrasts at the heart of the collection's story are brought together to create a fusion that evokes neo-constructivism.
