Lumine Shinjuku will open a permanent store for "LUMINE THE QUARTIER-LA," a project supporting brands and young designers who will lead the next generation of fashion business, on the 29th of this month. Each month, different designers will be offered sales opportunities.
The first installment will feature three designers under the theme of "WOMANS," a project to support female fashion designers held in March of this year. The featured designers are Nagashima Rie, designer of "archi," a brand directed by Isshiki Sae; Suzuki Yumi, who launched her own brand "ARIA" after working for NUMBER (N)INE; and Kawabata Sari and Hiraka, sisters behind the Kobe-based accessory brand "joujou." The store will run until the 26th of next month.
LUMINE THE QUARTIER-LA is a project that conveys the importance of the production background of fashion-related manufacturing and supports young designers and creators in Japan. It started in September 2001 and has since had 10 stores officially open within Lumine, hosting fashion-focused sales events, workshops, and event exhibitions.
