Film director David Fincher was born on August 28, 1962, in Denver, Colorado, USA. At the age of 18, he joined the American visual effects studio ILM and participated in the production of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983) and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984). In 1986, he founded the video production company Propaganda Films, where he worked on music videos for artists such as Madonna and the Rolling Stones. His achievements led to his directorial debut in 1992 with Alien 3. In 1995, Seven, starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman, became a huge hit, grossing over $300 million worldwide. His subsequent films, The Game (1997) and Fight Club (1999), were also successful, solidifying his status as a hitmaker.

He was nominated for numerous film awards, including an Academy Award, for his work on "Benjamin Button" in 2008, and won the BAFTA and Golden Globe Awards for Best Director for "The Social Network" in 2010.

Recently, he directed the new commercial for Calvin Klein's women's fragrance, "Calvin Klein Downtown Eau de Parfum," which will be released on September 25th. It stars Rooney Mara, who also stars in the latest film, "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo."
