Actor Brad Pitt, known for his knowledge of contemporary architecture and collector of designer furniture, has announced a modern furniture collection in collaboration with New Jersey-based furniture maker Frank Pollaro.
The collection's tagline is
"Designed By Pitt, Built By Pollaro. Made in USA."
This is not simply a licensed product bearing the name of a Hollywood star; the luxury furniture manufacturer Pollaro created the pieces based on actual sketches drawn by Pitt. Pitt's personal attention to detail is reflected in every detail.
The two met in 2008 when Pollaro personally delivered a desk that Pitt had custom-ordered for his wife Angie as a birthday gift to their villa in the south of France. They shared a mutual interest in design, furniture, and materials, and this project began.
The newly released collection includes over a dozen pieces, including beds, tables, and chairs. Each piece is made to order and is limited edition, signed and numbered.
