About Saryo Tsujiri

Saryo Tsujiri was founded in 1978 (Showa 53). It began with the establishment of a "Tea Drinking Dojo" within Gion Tsujiri, with the hope that people of the younger generation would be able to experience the correct way to brew and drink tea, and appreciate the true flavor of tea... The name of the dojo is "Tsujiri," combining the "miyako" (city) of Kyoto, the "ro" (road) of Shijo Oji, and the "sato" (village) of Uji, the tea village. This relaxing space, where you can feel the elegant atmosphere of Kyoto's Gion district, offers a wide variety of carefully crafted Uji teas, not just for drinking, but also for enjoying.
