Hotel New Otani (Tokyo) will be selling two types of parfaits using the Granola Half Series from Kellogg Japan LLC, which has been revamped under the supervision of Grand Chef Nakajima Shinsuke.

What is the Kellogg Granola Half Series?


The Granola Half series from Kellogg Japan LLC has been revamped under the supervision of Hotel New Otani's Grand Chef Nakajima Shinsuke. Three varieties have been on sale nationwide since February this year: "Fruit Granola Half," which has less than half the fat content* and a gorgeous taste that perfectly blends the tartness of fruit with the sweetness of granola, as well as the chocolate-flavored "Melt-in-Your-Mouth Chocolate Granola Half" and "Crunchy Honey Flake Granola Half."

Grand chef of Hotel New Otani. In 2002, he won the overall prize as a member of the Japanese team at the World Pastry Championships. In 2009, he led the Japanese national team to victory at the World Patisserie 2009 as the taste manager. He created the "Super Series" including the "Super Shortcake" made with uncompromisingly carefully selected ingredients, and currently travels to producing regions all over Japan to personally develop menus that pursue both "delicious taste and health."

A luxurious parfait with the scent of noble roses, created by the combination of lychee and raspberry. Hidden in the center is Kellogg's Crunchy Honey Flake Granola Half, which offers a rich texture and a subtle sweetness with the flavor of orange honey. It is sandwiched between refreshing lychee jelly and lychee sorbet, topped with rose-flavored homemade milk gelato from Hachijojima, and finished with gorgeous rose cream and Patisserie SATSUKI's special Red Rose Macaron. This lovely parfait is inspired by the 30,000 roses that bloom in the hotel's rooftop Red Rose Garden.

'Kellogg's Melt-in-Your-Mouth Chocolate Granola Half' has an exquisite balance of fragrant granola, chocolate cubes, and the tartness of raspberries. To further enhance the flavor, it is layered with refreshing raspberry jelly and soy milk white chocolate gelato, and topped with juicy raspberries, soy milk chocolate gelato, rich almond milk cream, and chocolate macaroons. The combination of the crunchy texture of the granola and the smooth gelato makes for a flavor you'll never get tired of.
