The Shiotsu Takehiro Botanical Laboratory, which treats and preserves plants, is holding its first solo exhibition at the select shop "Kagure" in Omotesando (MICO Jingumae, 4-25-12 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) and Marunouchi (Marunouchi 2-chome Building, 2-5-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). The exhibition, titled "Together," showcases landscape photographs taken by Shiotsu himself, who spends his days examining plants, from small balcony flowers to large garden trees, and walking in the mountains while explaining each plant. Bonsai trees that connect with the landscapes will also be on display and for sale. Born in Wakayama Prefecture, Shiotsu grew up surrounded by plants from a young age, near his grandfather, who was a farmer. After training under a bonsai artisan, he founded the Shiotsu Takehiro Botanical Laboratory in 2010. He also serves as a professor at the "Jiyu University" within the IID Setagaya School of Manufacturing and a lecturer at the Nagoya University of Arts OHOC.
