The original bowl (¥2,500 including tax) from Shinpuku Saikan Azabu Juban, a popular ramen restaurant in Tokyo's Azabu Juban district, will go on sale on June 4th. It was designed by Tetsuya Chihara, art director and representative of the design office Lemon Life, and produced by Jouji Amano of George Creative Company. Shinpuku Saikan Azabu Juban is the first Tokyo branch of Shinpuku Saikan, a long-established ramen restaurant in Kyoto that boasts long lines every day. The bowl was created because Tetsuya Chihara and Jouji Amano, both natives of Kyoto and big fans of Shinpuku Saikan, are also big fans of the restaurant. Akimoto Kozue was chosen as the model for the visual poster. A launch party to commemorate the release will be held at Shinpuku Saikan Azabu Juban on June 4th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. In addition to the original donburi bowls, there will also be limited edition original T-shirts for sale and ramen tasting sessions. In case of rain, the event will be postponed to June 10th.
