May 8, 2015

Ramen Burger Tokyo, which originated in New York and also has a location in Los Angeles, opened its first Japanese location (2-28-8 Nakano, Nakano-ku, Tokyo) on May 3rd in Nakano, Tokyo, run by chef Keizo Shimamoto. Located on the second floor of the famous ramen restaurant Nikuniboshi Chukasoba Saikoro, RAMEN BURGER TOKYO is housed in a renovated space that was formerly the restaurant's noodle factory. The restaurant offers a variety of original menu items, centered around "The Original Burger" (723 yen). The Original Burger uses homemade noodles, formed into a round shape and lightly grilled, instead of a bun. Between the burger is a 100% Angus beef patty, toppings such as green onions and arugula, and a soy-sauce-based sauce. Other items on the menu include "THE WORKS" (1,019 yen), topped with aged bacon from Ome pork, cheddar cheese, and a fried egg made with freshly laid eggs. Side dishes include pickles and salsa made with homemade quail and seasonal vegetables, as well as New York-style chopped salads made with seasonal vegetables cut into bite-sized pieces. Opening hours are from 11:00 to 21:00.
