The music event "Gainsbourg Night 2015 - 20 years anniversary" will be held at Roppongi Super Deluxe on July 20th.
Gainsbourg Night is a music event that has always featured cutting-edge Japanese musicians who have inherited the spirit and artistic style of Serge Gainsbourg.
This year, marking its 20th anniversary, Shuichiro Sakaguchi (Double Famous), who was selected to be part of Jane Birkin's world tour band, will appear, and Tatsuyuki Hiyimuta, a Gainsbourg fanatic and former member of Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, will give a special performance.
In addition, many artists, including Yoko Hamasaki and Tenma Matsunaga from Urbangarde, will perform their own interpretations of Gainsbourg's music and songs reminiscent of Gainsbourg. Additionally, a special electric lineup of Saeki Kenzo & Club Je t'aime will perform new interpretations of Gainsbourg songs.

"Gainsbourg Night" began in 1995 when Tatsuji Nagataki, Masayuki Kawakatsu and others planned it to commemorate the release of the tribute CD "Gainsbourg Tribute 95." The first event is said to be the first time Kahimi Karii made an official appearance, and it remains legendary to this day.
