UT, the T-shirt brand from UNIQLO, collaborates with a variety of artists and works. The 2015 Spring/Summer collection features new pieces, including "Taiyo Matsumoto x Nicolas de Crécy," "Ghost in the Shell: ARIZE," and "Message from Tezuka." The collection features designs incorporating various cultures and art from around the world. This time, the highlight is the collaborative T-shirt (men's, ¥1,500) between manga artist Taiyo Matsumoto and French bande dessinée artist Nicolas de Crécy. Taiyo Matsumoto previously released a collaboration T-shirt with UT in 2008, which was well-received by fans and many others. This time, the original design features works with a mature feel from Taiyo Matsumoto's art books "100" and "101," designed to be suitable for a wide range of ages. The material was carefully selected, using slub fabric to match the paper used in the art books. The signatures of both artists are printed on the neck. Other items in the lineup include "American Movie Characters" T-shirts (990 yen), collaborations with popular films such as "Stand by Me," "Back to the Future," and "Batman," T-shirts designed with famous scenes from "Ghost in the Shell ARIZE" (men's 1,500 yen), and "Message from Tezuka" (men's 1,500 yen), featuring characters from Osamu Tezuka's works such as "Astro Boy" and "Black Jack" printed with messages tailored to each work.
Also, on June 15th, a total of 25 collaboration T-shirts (1,500 yen for both men and women, 990 yen for kids) featuring characters and logos from "The Avengers," the new film "Avengers: Age of Ultron," is scheduled for release in July, will go on sale.
