The theme of UNIQLO's T-shirt design competition, UT Grand Prix 2015, has been decided to be "Star Wars," directed by George Lucas.
T-shirt design submissions will begin in July. The top designs will be part of UNIQLO's 2015 Spring/Summer UT collection and will be sold in 16 countries and regions, as well as in the online store. Details will be announced on the special website at a later date. "Star Wars: Episode VII" is scheduled for release in 2015.
The UT Grand Prix, which began in 2005, accepts T-shirt designs featuring graphics and messages that express original ideas from all over the world, regardless of age, gender, nationality, or professional or amateur status. Each year has a different design theme: 2011 featured Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, 2012 Coca-Cola, and 2013 six artists including Madonna and KISS.
