The 2015-16 Autumn/Winter capsule collection "Mint Designs + Fred Perry", a collaboration between Fred Perry and mintdesigns, is available for pre-sale from June 12th to 21st at Fred Perry Shop Harajuku, Fred Perry Shop Osaka, and the online shop.
The collection combines Fred Perry's background of a crossover between sports and streetwear with the artistic sensibility of mintdesigns. The collection was created with the keywords "Patterns," "Culture," "Sports," "Colors," "Dress," "Polo," and "Product Design," reflecting the expressiveness and history of both brands.
Fred Perry shirts, which have their roots in sportswear, were adopted by the cutting-edge young people of London in the 1960s, and became a fashion item that spread worldwide. The collection is inspired by the "Mod Girls" that emerged during the vibrant Swinging London era of that time.
The lineup includes 11 items, including polo shirts with a sharp black as the key color, dresses, hoodies, socks, and bags. The three-dimensional forms and geometric prints that are characteristic of Mint Designs, which brings creative ideas to life, reflect the bold spirit and playfulness of the time.
Following the advance sale, the collection is scheduled to be released at Fred Perry stores nationwide and in select limited shops on July 17th. The collaboration is scheduled to continue into the 16SS season.
