The collaboration with King Gnu and ARTWORK is also a hot topic. Sano Rinyusuke's art exhibition "ZOOOM" is being held

Event Date:2020.06.21-06.27
Jun 4, 2020
WATOWA INC. will be holding "ZOOM," a new art exhibition by artist Sano Rinyusuke, who has been making waves for his ARTWORK collaboration with alternative rock band King Gnu, from June 21st to June 27th on the 1st and 2nd floors of elephant STUDIO (Shibuya Ward).

Sano's works capture and zoom in on familiar sights and sounds from everyday life, each filled with their own unique personality, story, and energy. We hope everyone can feel the emotions and energy contained within "Zoom."

Currently, the impact of COVID-19 is changing our lives and the way we live, but if we look at it through ZOOM, we can see that the important core remains the same, and if we broaden our perspective, we may not need to make drastic changes...
Today's society can be made more enjoyable by capturing it through Sano's street and fashion sensibilities.
Opportunities to decorate rooms with art are also increasing, with online meetings and drinking parties. We hope to be able to send out even a little bit of energy to rooms where people are spending more time than before.
For this exhibition, Sano's own "ZOOM" will be scattered throughout the venue, with works ranging from affordable pieces priced at several tens of thousands of yen to pieces over one meter in height, which are highly requested by art collectors.

WHO IS RYUSUKE SANO?
RYUSUKE SANO
Born in 1994 in Sapporo, Hokkaido, and currently lives in Tokyo.
Sano focuses on everyday scenery that he sees without thinking, or traces the colors and sounds of his own experiences and memories, and applies them to canvas using a variety of tools such as acrylics, crayons and ballpoint pens. Inspired by everyday life, new discoveries emerge from within, transforming them into original characters and various materials—painting, tearing, collaging, and using various other techniques—and evolving them into stylish works with a street and fashion sensibility. Despite his young age, he has participated in numerous exhibitions and collaborations, holding his first solo exhibition in 2018. He has also collaborated with artists from various creative industries, including fashion and music, on artworks. These include collaborations with fashion brand "TENDERPERSON" and alternative rock band "King Gnu." ART IN TIMES OF CORONAVIRUS
