The first solo exhibition of SANZOKU, a tableware brand created by acclaimed ceramic artist Yuko Nemoto, will be held at NEW PURE +, a shop in Kitahama, Osaka, from June 13th.

Yuko Nemoto is a acclaimed ceramic artist who won the 23rd Taro Okamoto Award for Contemporary Art and the Toshiko Okamoto Award. NEW PURE + will be holding the first solo exhibition of her brand, SANZOKU.
SANZOKU is a brand that offers cute yet quirky tableware inspired by the image of "tableware for retreating (to the mountains)." The aim is for the pieces to be usable tableware, yet also art pieces that inspire a sense of joy and freedom when you own them.

SANZOKU's adorable yet quirky tableware is crafted one by one like a sculpture using the hand-building technique (a method of forming pieces by stacking clay on a string, layer by layer). This is a rare opportunity to see these precious pieces together, so if you're interested, be sure to check it out.
